Secretary of Labor's Exceptional Achievement Award

Attorney Julie Liberman is proud to have been a three-time recipient of the Secretary of Labor's Exceptional Achievement Award for her work on a team of attorneys at the Atlanta Regional office of the United States Department of Labor, on the following matters:

Multiple Employer Welfare Arrangement (MEWA) Litigation Quick Response Team, May 2003: team obtained a temporary restraining order against a phony union in a complex ERISA case involving a multiple employer welfare arrangement.

MEI Investigation Team, April 2002: team provided investigation assistance to OSHA in a complex electrical case involving multiple fatalities.

Interstate Brand Team, April 2002: litigation of a systemic race and sex discrimination case brought on behalf of the Office of Federal Contracts Compliance to enforce Executive Order 11246, a nondiscrimination provision governing federal contractors.
